How to find your serial number

Canon Lenses: Model numbers can be found at the front of most lenses on a ring around the front element (Img. Lens Canon 1), or on a band around the front of the lens (Img. Lens Canon 2)

Canon Bodies: Model numbers are always on the front of the camera body, mark II Mark III etc may be separate but is always on the front (Img. Body Canon 1). Serial numbers are on a sticker on the base of the camera. (Img. Body Canon -Serial)

Sony Bodies: Model numbers are on the top plate of every Sony camera on the Left hand side, near the back of the camera (Img. Body Sony 1) Serial numbers are on a sticker on the base of the camera. (Img. Body Sony – Serial)
